Save the bees!

Most people have heard that we need to "save the bees", but which bees need saving? The answer may surprise you.

Honeybees- although important for pollination of commercial agricultural crops, are not in need of active conservation. Rather, native pollinators such as Bumblebees, Butterflies, Moths, Flies, Hummingbirds need our stewardship.

Who are these native pollinators? How can we help them?

The native Canadian pollinator collector cards are designed to help educate children on different native species important for pollination. These are part of an educational kit for school science programs.
